Q1.Which fields and industries do you make prototypes for?

A1.We make prototypes in a wide range of fields, such as electronic components, connectors, switches, relays, motors, LEDs, vehicle components and fuel cells, for customers in Japan and overseas.

Q2.Do you have experience in providing prototypes for overseas customers?

A2.Yes, we have a wide range of experience providing prototypes to customers in Asia, Europe and America.

Q3.Which types of metallic materials can you use?

A3.We can handle a wide range of metallic materials including SUS, iron, aluminum, phosphor bronze, brass, copper, copper alloy and silver nickel. Please contact us if you have any specific material requirements.

Q4. Which types of die materials can you use?

A4.We can handle a wide range of die materials including super engineering plastics (LCP, PPS), engineering plastics (POM, various types of PA, PC, PBT), and general plastics (ABS). We handle approximately 100 types (including different grades) of die materials per year.

Q5.Which types of surface finishing can you use?

A5.Plating: AU, Sn, Ni, Cu, Ag, etc.
Please inform us if you require various types of hoop plating or rack plating. In addition to plating, we can also provide paint finishes, cation electrodeposition coating, anodized aluminum processing, heat treatment and barreling.

Q6.Are there any limitations on the thickness of the sheet metal you can use.

A6.The standard is T=0.05 to 3.2mm.

Q7.Limitations on The Product Size

A7.Metal :Consider sizes within 300mm square as a general limit . Any sizes larger than this can be manufactured.
Mold :We have 100ton injection molding machine. Any sizes larger than this can be manufactured.

Q8.What is the tolerance (general) for prototypes.

A8.This information is only provided as a guide. Sample tolerances are as shown below.

Standard Dimension (mm) Tolerance (mm)
0-1.0 ±0.05
1.1-5.0 ±0.1
5.1-10.0 ±0.15
10.1- ±0.2-
Angle ±1°-
Q9.What level is the exterior of the prototype finished to?

A9.We will dicuss conditions such as scratches from the material stages, scratches that occur during processing and the final state of the external finish based on your project.
However, as each product is different, we do not advertise a detailed external appearance standard.

Q10.Are there upper and/or lower limits to the quantity of prototypes you can produce?

A10.We can produce any quantity from 1 to a few tens of thousand prototypes.

Q11.What is the lead time for prototypes?

A11.It depends on the specific project, but a good guide would be one week, or two weeks for die sets.
(Die processing and specialized dies are outsourced for both mold and metal die-sets, which take an additional 1 week.)
However, we can adjust according to your budget and delivery specifications, so please discuss your requirements with us.

Q12.How are prototype die sets assets handled?

A12.Basically, the die sets is the customer's asset, and we can issue a certificate of deposit. However, we cannot give die sets to customers because they are designed for use in our proprietary die systems. Additionally, any photographs provided will have sections that identify our specialist knowledge and technologies removed.

Q13.How long are die sets stored for?

A13.One year after your order. After the storage period, we will contact use to discuss the disposal of the die set. We will not dispose of die sets without your permission.

Q14.Can you provide us with prototype die sets data?

A14.It is possible to provide such data, but you must request this when you request a quote (inquire). If you do not inform us in advance, we may not be able to supply such data. When providing such data, we will decide the range of data that can be supplied. Furthermore, please note that paper-based die sets drawings are not available because we place a great deal of importance on creating prototype dies quickly.

Q15.How long is the period of warranty?

A15.We warrant the items which is wrriten in quotation one month after the inspection.
However, there is no warranty if failure has caused by Buyer.

Q16.Available Analysis Technology

A16.We can handle thermal fluid analysis, heat conduction analysis, stress analysis and etc.

Q17.Specification of 3D Printer

A17.It is for confirmation of design model. This machine is ink jet type that can be made high definition modeling.
Modeling size: X270 x Y165 x Z180(mm)
Material: Semitransparent acryl type (ultraviolet curing plastic)
Laminating pitch: 29μm (you can also choose 16μm or 32μm)
*we cannot gurantee the dimension of products.
